Weekend that was

Last Saturday, I was the driver of my mom. I accompanied her to Makati (together with my cuz Klarizze) for a consultation - having problems with her gums/teeth. She had a problem with her 'insensitive' lady dentist in their clinic so she was referred to their former dentist who has a private clinic in Makati. Anyway, left the house at 1300 for the 1400 appointment. She'll have her minor surgery or minor tooth extraction on Friday morning. While going down the stairs, I slipped! Tsk tsk. My back aches a bit but Im fine.

While waiting for mom...

After that, we went to Citystate for the 1st birthday of my cousin. They'll be here for 2 weeks, just for MJ's celeb then they'll go back to Taiwan this weekend.

The theme is Justice League. Had I known earlier that my cousin wants the party peeps to come in costume, I should have brought my Superwoman costume hahaha!

[caption id="attachment_1259" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="klarizze with the game master "]klarizze with the game master [/caption]

Speaking of the game master, mom whispered that he reminds her of bonsai (my ex-bonsai bec he's smaller than me, a codename given by my mom!)

Anyways, I asked Klarizze if she wants to have our face painted, "eeewwww". hahaha!

Yesterday, Mikoy accompanied me to GH to sell my DS Lite and old mobile phone. Ate first at Sandy's Pizza (sister of actor Gabby Conception owns this)

[caption id="attachment_1262" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="the man infront really poses when mikoy was taking a pic of sandy"]the man infront really poses when mikoy was taking a pic of sandy's! haha![/caption]

We tried the Sandy's Sampler (am i right, mikoy?) - I believed Mikoy ordered the 18" pizza or the 14"? Basta its big! Garlic Tuyo in Olive Oil, Garlic Chorizo, Tocino and the Adobo. Love the adobo and tocino! What I love the most is the their crust - so crunchy! *Neighbor, try it, you'll definitely love it!!*

even if my tummy aches, 'say cheese!'
even if my tummy aches,

So we were able to do what we ought to do, so it's shopping time! Mikoy bought rubber shoes, as for me, I bought (or Mikoy bought it for me!) 3 shoes! One black wedge shoes and 2 flat shoes- one purple and brown. I was trying to look for a dress or blouse to match my shoes but unfortunately....

It seems that we couldn't find any good blouse or dress to match my shoes and I saw that Mikoy was tired already so I said, let's go home.

mikoy: i can't believe you're not even tired at all. my feet hurts already

me: oh well, we often come here so why not make the most of our time...besides shopping is fun! right?

mikoy: huh?!

We headed to Casa Reyes for dinner.

Was home by 2130. Brought the leftover pizza's and re-heated it. They were watching Slumdog Millionaire. So I sat down and chatted with them while waiting for Mikoy to come home. Tired but happy =)

*Thanks babe for coming. I know you're not into shopping but you still patiently wait for me..mwah mwah. love you!*

this is where i jog.  i woke up late so the sun was up and it was hot hot.

i sit here when im tired or when i need a break.  since i'm a newbie agen, it takes me around 12-14mins of walk, jog, pant and rest to complete the track (which is mga 1km).  i usually have 4 rounds.

lots of trees/plants in there.  this one from the banana family.  it's said that if u happen to be lost in the jungle and has no compass, this tree will help you with directions -- this tree is facing east and west (where sun rises and sets)

Niweys,  sam and i need to burn all the calories we're taking from our binge so we decided we will be jogging at least twice a week.

Last friday, we were at Bonifacio Global City to jog.  Since the place is new, safe, well- lighted, with nice cemented road (sidewalk/bangketa), it's a fave place for joggers.   There are also those who jog at night (after work)-- just like us--ngek!

We just made a few rounds and we enjoyed it coz it was something new for the both of us.  Niweys,  i said we could just do it at baywalk area or MOA. So if you happen to see two 'biggies' in those areas holding hands while jogging, it could be us hehhe

ang tyanak

here's the latest pics from inday.  she was with me when i paid taxes at the munisipyo.  was listless already coz she had nothing to do, so to keep her from crying, took some pics of her

[caption id="attachment_1230" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Nokia E71"]Nokia E71[/caption]

Fin'lly bought a new phone last Sunday. (Thanks also to M for giving me a share of her prize money at Bingo)

I haven't transferred all the messages from my old phone to the new one. It seems like that are not compatible. I've tried everything (I think) to make it work but to no avail. (Anyone? My old mobile phone is a Nokia 6500 slider) I tried dragging and exporting the old messages from the old unit to the new unit but couldn't. I got helpless. I am patient in tinkering things but this one, I think I need some help from Tech Supp from a Business Center. (Mikoy, I want to make 'hirit' about this but I'm keeping my mouth shut hahaha - u know what Im thinking?)

This weekend, I'll ask Mikoy to come with me to GH to check if I can sell my 4month old Nintendo DS Lite so I can buy an I-touch! Yihii!! Am excited just thinking about it...

Besides I am expecting money.... hahaha I am truly hoping and wishing for this (The Secret? SECRET! Right babe?)

Happy Cream Puff

Mikoy and I went to the Zone in Bel Air Makati last Tuesday. We're looking for the resto that Mik wanted to try but unfortunately didn't saw it so ended up eating at JT's Inasal (again). Then I saw this:

Wowowee!!!!!! I love cream puff! Uhmm its just that I do take off some of the vanilla cream inside though I must admit its not that sweet but it tastes good really...I'm just overwhelmed. hahaha.

Of course, we'll grab a chance to take some pics =)

HAPPY CREAM PUFF is located at THE ZONE in Malugay St cor Buendia, Bel Air Makati.

appeasing the gods

our neighbors are making reklamo coz of the leaves falling on their backyard.   coz of this, my mom had the trees cut.

I think the 'spirits' living there got mad, my mom slipped and fractured her ankle.

to appease the spirits, we offered fruits, incense and prayers.

this is the tree that we cut

question: can you tell the leaves where they should and shouldn't fall?  We don't want to cut the trees (thou we trim them from time to time), but we also don't want to quarrel with our neighbors.  I just hope these people are happy now.  They should learn to appreciate nature and not just think of themselves.

the corregidor tour, with an american as our guide.  John Doe (i forgot his name), retired 6 months ago and re-located at corregidor with his wife.  He left his 3 grown-up children in michigan.  his dad was here during WWII, and maybe john jr went here to tell his dad's story.  an irony, an american telling us filipinos our history.

onli in the pilipins

Three of Mikoy's co-workers asked permission to be absent last week. Reason? Their children will have Recognition Day at school - at a Day Care Center.

Another staff asked to be absent next week. Both husband and wife. The child is graduating – from kindergarten.

I asked, “Are they graduating with honors?” No.

Hayyy, how can this country prosper when a 'should be' simple ceremony takes a whole day (they are not even in a university!), make the parents absent and miss the chance of being a more productive citizen of this country? They are daily wage earners, mind you. Tsk tsk.

What, with our current situation right now? Pople should realize that they should be grateful, more thankful that they have jobs! But some of us do not even realize it 'til they realize that they do not have food to take to their families.

Some people are waiting for their bonuses (including me haha) but seriously, it dawned on me that I am just grateful that I am still working (and I shouldn't be blogging at this time of the day) and even if we will not have our bonuses this summer, at least I have a job.

Oh well, let's just hope for the best.

The Image

This morning, my uncle showed me something. I got goose bumps all over my body when I saw the images.

It was actually my aunt who was smoking that time at the gate, who saw the image. She knew it was an image so she called my uncle to take some pics using his mobile phone. Those were the images captured.

I'm very definite that the image is not my dad nor my grandmother. Its up to you. I saw Virgin Mary in front and behind her is Jesus Christ with his arms/hands like HE was asking for a hug.

Just like this one in Rio de Janeiro.

I don't know what this image is trying to imply....

7107 islands cruise

Last Saturday, my parents, titas and I went to the Corregidor via the 7107 islands cruise ship.  It was a sudden decision to go on a cruise. My mom was talking with my titas and she mentioned that Marco Sison's going to perform on board.  That was 2pm last Thursday.  Before you know it I was calling their office to inquire, and book; and had the payment transferred to them by 4pm.

[caption id="attachment_1148" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="the ship"]the ship[/caption]

We were all excited syempre, and was scheduled to leave Bulacan by 130pm Sat (check-in was at 2pm at North Harbor).  I still had to work that Saturday, was out by 1pm, and still hasn't packed.  'Coz I was in a hurry, I had a major kasalanan kay Sam (sori!)

So with Jon driving (me got dizzy!) we were at the Pier by 2pm.  My tita brought butong-pekwan (our savior!), which was our snack 'coz I did not bring any chips.

Here are some pix:

This is a P10k/night/pax where my parents stayed.  I think it's over-priced as it's not really a suite.  There is a tv but no signal but with a dvd player -- without discs (have to rent from them for P50!)

The only difference with this room with ours is that it has free toothbrush (1 pc), small close-up toothpaste, and mineral water.

Good thing my parents did not pay that amount.  Their room was upgraded 'coz Marco Sison wasn't on board and he was the main reason why we were cruising!  We could have sued them and could have easily won (we went there with my mom's broken ankle just to watch him!)
