Rich's family tree

...And so my ex bossing went to the shop to order some placemats. Their family is rich, you know as in rich. She was mentioning some other rich people's complete name, like coca nicolas, sarsi emmanuelle or pepsi paloma .
My point is, these rich people, they're like reciting/tracing the other rich people's family tree, when mentioning their co-rich people's name.
While us poor people, we would say, " si aling mameng un kapitbahay ni aling duné" or "yung anak ba ni toryong adik".
Wala lang. I just observd this with rich people. So maybe i should feel rich and start saying other people's full name. What u think?

Pissedful Day

Actually nandoon na sila but pinababalik ko dito dahil they need to apply for the employment visa (not the tourist visa na lagi naming ginagawa then yung extension doon na gagawin sa CHN office namin) Anyway, since first time naming maga-apply nitong visa na ito, nangangapa kami, so I asked our travel agency to check on the requirements (although I was able to find those online, I wanted some clarifications lang since hindi madaling mag explain sa mga counterparts namin ng process na ito)

So every now and then naga-update ako sa mga bossing sa CHN pati dito. Ngayon pala kailangan na ng medical (yung medical na ginawa nila doon eh hindi valid so uulit dito, Embassy informed me of a certain Diagnostic Clinic that can expedite medical results) then NBI valid for travel abroad at merong interview pa with the Consul.

Medical on Saturday morning, medical results makukuha din on that day, sa monday na yung NBI nila.

D: haha but i will take advantage na rin for my extra curricular. uhm so 830 ang bukas ng clinic puwede kaya sabihin na accommodate agad kami pagdating namin doon?
me: VIP KA?
me: K

me: tsk tsk... don't give her a spare key, let her sleep in the hallway
HT: hahaha i just might do that. she's impossible!
me: i know. let her pay for the replacement so she knows that she has to be responsible with those things.

Wala daw.

me: matagal na.
me: bahala ka i dont have anything to explain dahil siya ang wala sa lugar.

Burnt Biscuit Story

* just want to share this very nice story

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

Life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults - and choosing to celebrate each others differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

Learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or brother-sister or friendship!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket - keep it in your own.."

To my Mikoy,

Thank you for being the burnt biscuit in my life. Ours is not perfect or will never be perfect but I still appreciate all the little things that you're doing for me, for making me feel loved and special in your own little way - the pangaasar and all.

i love u. advance happy 28th monthsary, babe!

Turning Green

taken at the planting site at Ipo

*submitted this for the office magazine, hopefully it will be published.*

Ipo Dam is one of the water reservoirs in the Philippines. The dam is located near Angat Dam (a hydroelectric dam that supplies the Manila metropolitan area water) in Norzagaray, Bulcan. During the retreat of the Japanese forces in WW II, it was once attempted to be destroyed using explosives to disrupt the supply of water in Manila.

According to the people managing the reservoir, it would take at least 20 yrs for the rehabilitation of the denuded area. However, around 25, 000 trees were already planted but this is not enough. They still need our help.

So, the Green Week Committee, headed by Dennis Daluz, decided to do our share. Last Saturday – off we go to Ipo. We were only 9 and about to plant 200 seedlings as that was the number committed to the Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It was a struggle especially during the climb. Terrain was inclined, muddy and slippery because of the rain the previous day. We tried to hold on to the bamboo poles, bushes, and sometimes colleagues just to help us out. It was difficult to hold on to your balance, at one point I almost slipped, almost hurting myself. But I told myself “I can do this! If others can, why can’t I?” It was a good thing too that we were there early, otherwise, it would be difficult for everyone to bear the burning sun.

At first, I was counting the seedlings, but after the 5th one, I lost count. I realized that it was not about the numbers anymore. It was about being with others who have the same objective as yours; caring for your environment and being grateful that somehow, there are still trees around us; appreciating the majestic view from the top that we often ignore or had little time to notice.

What we did will not change the world but with numerous feeble hands combined, it will surely make a big difference.

We did our share - when are you going to do yours?

Beauty and Substance

me: wala. why?

Oh well marami talaga sa paligid niyan.

Peeping Tom

after the doctor put anesthesia
nurse placed several gauze tapes all
over my face

what i looked like after the cauterization

Lady Godiva

Peeping Tom daw kasi ako sabi ni Mikoy kaya ako naging "kirat." Well, hindi naman talaga pantay ang mata ko, mas maliit ang left eye ko (or right?) Didn't go to the doctor to have it checked na kasi nagsubside na ang swelling. Told myself that will visit the doctor if after today it will not improve, eh it did so hindi na.

Honestly, didn’t vote for him last Election, rooted for his cousin, GIBO. However, I will give him a chance to prove himself not just with me but to all the people who chose him. What I’m trying to say is that I will try my best to support him in everything he’ll do and decide for this country.

Pero with this wang wang thing na di niya gagamitin? I’m not approving it. The wang is one of the privileges of the President at hindi niya dapat ipagkait sa sarili niya yun.

Let’s give them that.

Hehe.

Ewan ko basta goodluck sa ating lahat.

you made me smile again baby =)

Endless nights
I’d play solitaire
Imagining that you were here
One night flights
Such heartless affairs
They froze the hopes of love in me
You suddenly appeared
Melted all my fears
Filled me with the love I need

You make me smile again
Like a child of three
And I believe it will turn out right baby
Oh you make me smile again
Oh love, my love

Heart to heart
Our souls intertwine
Make love and float away with me
Twins of flame
A love so divine
I want to spend my life around you
Now, now I have the strength
Now I have the hopes
You give me all I need

To make me smile again
Like a child of three
And I believe it will work out right baby
Oh you make me smile again
Hold me in your arms
Oh love, my love

You make me smile again
Like a child of three
Oh I believe we’ll live a dream for two
Oh you make me smile again
Hold me in your arms
Oh love, my love
